Playing along....

Not alot has happened since my last post. I finished my first week at work and dashed back to Melbourne on Friday afternoon to see the girls. (I would also add DH but he was off on his annual golfing weekend). The girls gave me a lovely reception and we had a great weekend together but it was heart breaking leaving them on Sunday night to head back down here. No news on the house selling front although we did have a good turn out on Saturday for the open.....so fingers crossed.

Im really looking forward to spending some quality time with DH this weekend - with a night to ourselves, courtesy of a dear friend, and birthday celebrations on Sunday.

Ive decided to play along with bug and pop's meme. (Better late than never)

The rules are: "Open the 6th picture folder on your computer, open the 6th photo and blog it. Write something about it. Then tag 6 more people to do the same."

Now I promise I wasnt giving this as a milk substitute! This is Zoe when she was about 14 months old. God knows where she found the bottle but I couldnt resist capturing the moment. Now I'm not really into tagging but do feel free to play along if you like.

Till next time....

Firsts...

Today was my first day...

  • without DH & the girls

  • at the new job

  • being woken by nature (not by passing trucks!)

  • spending less than 10 minutes driving to work

This is mums place (in the winter of course) which is where Im staying until the house sells back in Melbourne and we find something to buy down here.

...and for those who asked, 'here' is a little place called Barongarook. Its just south of Colac at the foot of the Otways.

Im already missing my little family and cant wait till we're all down here living the dream together.

Bye for now.

New Beginnings....

Hmmm where do I start? DH and I have been considering a move to greener pastures for a while now. As it so happened the stars all fell into alignment over the christmas break and we've decided to make a go of it. So I thought it would be kinda nice to blog our new adventure. Im heading down in the next week or two to start a new job, whilst DH stays in Melbourne to sell our current home and give the girls one more term at school/kinder. I'll then commute back to Melbourne on the weekends until the house sells. We're planning on buying an acreage, having some animals....chooks, dogs & maybe alpaca's, growing our own vegies and basically enjoying a far more simpler way of life. Given the girls early start in life, we are hoping the fresh country air will do them good as well. Im looking forward to having some more time to re-aquaint myself with creative pursuits and of course catching up on my favorite blogs. So thats it in a nut shell. Drop by and check out our journey anytime. Its nice to have company!
Bye for now
